Volare

There simply aren't enough good things that I can say about this restaurant. I went there with my family on a whim and couldn't beleive what I ate. When we arrived it was about five o'clock and we had no reservations, but the manager was kind enough to let us dine anyway. Throughout a two hour meal the conversation never turned away from "This is the absolute best thing I've ever put in my mouth!". Even the bread in olive oil was pure bliss. We all had bites of each other's food, and even things that we normally don't like was simply the greatest thing imaginable. The whole place had a genuinely Italian atmosphere (except for the partially tacky wine mural on the walls), and everything is worth the wait. Speaking of the wait, the only reason I gave the service a 4.5 was that on a busy night the service is a bit slow. Other than that, I urge you to discover this gem of Chicago!
